We made a trip to Orange City Florida to Visit my sister and my mom and dad. We sorted old pictures and laughed at Dale's many hair cuts over the years. I think all kids love to do that.

My Girls

I wanted to post this picture of all my girls (from left to right Amy, Kynlee, Ashlee, Elizabeth and Cori). The adult girls (and the little ones) have been a rich and true blessing in my life and they are perfect for their husbands and help to round out our family. It was truley wonderful that we could have 13-14 people (8 adults and 6 children) in one house for 10 days and have no major incidents and nobody's feelings hurt. Thanks girls! It was wonderful!

We went to the Oklahoma Bombing Memorial and I forgot my camara and Elizabeth won't share her stinking pictures with me, she wants to put them on her blog. HA HA But I did have the opportunity to see some very dear friends that use to live in Georgia with us-Joe and Stephanie Hunt. It was so fun to see them and spend time with their precious family. GOOD TIMES
The Memorial was a wonderful and moving experience. I think we all shed a few tears. Sometimes it's difficult to understand the evil things people do.

A Roll of Hay

A local real estate company used this roll of hay to make a spider at Holloween...I thought it was so cute and creative.....AND THEN..... At Thanksgiving they made the same roll of hay into a turkey, which was even cuter. So I am excited to see what they do with it for Christmas. I'll keep you posted.

This is a hotel Poppy and I spent the night at this past week and we thought it might be a fun place to plan a family vacation. Just an idea. It had a fun little playground for the younger kids.

Dennis and I went riding on Jekyll Island yesterday, we had a good time and we biked about 20 miles. This picture was taken close to the end. We saw some beautiful sites, we have decided we need to do some of the touristy things on our days off. The park is beautiful and it was a fantastic day, great sunshine and cool temperatures.

I took this picture because in person the grass looked layered in yellows, golds, greens and browns.

I believe this is the Jekyll Island Inn, and Dennis enjoying some Trail Mix!

Dennis Jr, Cori, Cody and Tanner came to visit and my Dennis and I had a blast. Dennis and Cori had a few trials with lost luggage and a few other things, I hope they enjoyed themselves half as much as we did.

Cody loved the feeding the geese. This goose was the Queen and she honked soooo loud.
Everytime she honked Cody would laugh and laugh. He went home and told everyone the goose went HONKKKKKKKKKK
When you ask Cody his favorite part of the trip, it was swimming in Poppy's pool. I think it was because he learned to float on his back and dive under the water. He was so proud.
Tanner enjoyed jumping into the pool over and over again.

Tanner thought the Penguin was really cool. Dennis and Cori are still smiling here, it was before they became stuck at the top of the Log ride for about 15-20 minutes in the pouring rain.

We had a great time.We loved watching Cody watching the performances, he would be so intent and then.....
he would laugh so hard when they would jump out of the water. IT WAS GREAT!!!!
Tanner had a great time too, what bright eyes and precious smile.
What a good looking group. They must be having a great time.

Hurricane Faye tried to ruin the rest of the trip but we found a Mall with putt putt golf and a place called Monkey Joes. It was a place that had lots of huge blow up slides, and we all had a blast!!!!!!!!!!! But the house sure is quite without them.

A Dream come true!!!!!!

My oldest son Dale and his wife Amy were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple along with their 2 daughters Ashlee and Kynlee on July 15, it was an awesome experience. Our hearts were so full and I know that prayers of joy were being spoken on both sides of the veil.

This is Andrew Olson the Missionary who taught Amy the discussions he will always be very special to them. Some family and friend pictures we took outside the Temple.

Dale and Ashlee were sick and vomiting 2 days before going to the Temple, but they recovered the next day.

Getting to the Temple was very interesting Dale's younger brother, Dennis, was suppose to be there and woke up during the night (4 AM) vomiting, and was still vomiting violently when we left for the Temple his son was also sick. When we went outside to leave we noticed 2 of our cars had been broken into (Dennis's and Leah's my other daughter haha) So we knew it was going to be a glorious day because Satan was sure trying to ruin it. He did not win because it was beautiful and we all survived.

Cody and 'Aisea were sooooo excited to go to the airport and pick up Poppy (they think he is the greatest!!!) It was so cute the way they were best buddies and held hands. I'm so blessed. This looks like a hug, but their really searching him for rockets. HAHA

Here are some pictures taken at the park of each of the grand children. We had so much fun. They look so different yet there is a thread of familiarity in each one. It's amasing how Dennis and my little family has grown. They bring us our greatest joy and our richest blessings, all we have to do is think of them and we can't help but smile.

We had a fantastic 4th of July with our wonderful friends Kevin and Marie Washington and their family. Extraordinary friends great conversation and out of this world food. Just to clarify things the first picture is Dennis and Marie. By the way Marie has recently lost 64 pounds doesn't she look fantastic!!!! This is Kevin a stupendous man. (if you know him you know why I used that word)
Their yard is like going to Cypress Gardens, it is beautiful!!!

This is Stephanie, she is expecting her second little boy (little Kevin) in late Sept - Early Oct. She just came home from Italy to give birth in the States. She looks sooooo cute. I know Vincent (her husband) will be glad when their family is all together again. This is Keith and Lynette, Keith is the grill er, and boy did he grill up some fantastic chicken, ribs and hot dogs(I had some of everything). Lynette is massage therpist with magic hand.. They have 2 girls ..... This is K-K a sweet sweet young lady.

Arkansas Trip

Just a quick update--last week my sister Dawn and I drove my parents to Arkansas to take care of some business. I must admit we had a very fun trip. It was made up of long driving days and unpleasant business but we talked, laughed, and made the best of it. So thanks mom and dad for inviting me along. It was a blast!!

Dennis and I have been playing a couple of games of dominoes every day for the last 3 days. We lead such exciting lives. We road our bikes to St Mary's today then we came home showered, went to Lowe's to to look at some flooring for the travel trailer, walked around K-Mart and found saddle bags for our bikes, then it was to Publix to pick up a couple of things and we finished our adventure with a rip roaring game of Dominoes. WHAT A LIFE! Sorry that's all I had to blog about today. Tomorrow I leave to take my parents to Arkansas, I'll see what adventures that may bring.

A Day of Celebration

18 Months Cancer Free Yeah!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today we made another trek to NAS Jax for Dennis to have yet another Cystoscopy, a test he does not look forward to but know it is a necessity. As you can tell Dennis is thrilled to be there.
Dr. Donaldson is our hero, he's the Doctor who found Dennis 's cancer and has treated him since that time. He confirmed our diagnosis on a Friday and he had Surgery on Tuesday, we barely had time to think about it before it was over. He was very good to us and we appreciate that.
This is his thumbs up-- everything is clear sign-- his next test will be in 6 months and if it is clear we can go to being tested once a year. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! We have been very blessed and are grateful to our Heavenly Father for giving us good health.

I Have the best job ever!!!!!!

We finished up our contract (or ran out of funds) at the end of May, and my boss simply told me I work hard and to take the month of June off. Is that great or what. So Dennis and I have been taking advantage of it and staying active. One day we walked 4 miles, road our bikes around 15-20 miles to St Mary's and back and then went to the pool and swam for a while. Not our typical day, we were both pooped that evening.

We start our day off with a 4 mile power walk then we make our way up to the local flash foods for our morning drink. The girls there are very nice and miss us when we dont show up. Then it's to the rear of the store to Krystals, my whole family LOVES Krystal burgers, they are great.

This is a picture of me (sweaty from exercising and heading for the pool) getting Dennis his morning Krystals, he usually orders 3 burgers and an order of fries. I on the other hand order a salad or sometimes I allow myself to have 5 of his fries (the biggest ones of course) or every once in a great while I will endulge with a burger myself. He called my name out the other day, I turned around and he snaped this picture of me (thanks Den great smile on my part).

A LABOR OF LOVE

My oldest son Dale and his family will be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on July 15 so I decided I wanted to do something special. I thought and thought and then it came to me. I decided to take my very first Temple dress and make dresses for the girls. It was a challange at times picking apart all the seams and then trying to figure out how to cut both dresses out with the amount of material I had. It felt the spirit often as I sewed and I sincerely enjoyed making them. I hope they realize how special these dresses are. If they don't now, someday they will I'm sure.

This is Miss Kynlee's dress I ran short on material and so I added a piece of satin at the bottom to match the one at the waist. I really think they turned out pretty. I can just imagine how sweet she will look in it.

Dennis and I go walking in the morning (about 4 miles) when we get home this is how we look. If you look close you'll see 3 drops of sweat on the chest of his shirt.

And this is what I look like, sweat rolls down my chest, my shirt is totally soaked and I have to carry a cloth to wipe the sweat out of my eyes during our exercise. Why Why Why have I been cursed this way, it's not fair. If you have any suggestions to stop the excessive sweat I would love to hear it. Thanks

On one of my visits out west Dennis called and said he wanted to buy us new bikes. He said they were very nice with good seats. I have been wanting to start biking again, so I was excited. Low and behold when I came home and saw the bikes they were breath talking lol. Dennis's is John Deere green and mine is passion purple, please note the elegant two tone black and white over sized seat (just right for my fat #*&%$.) Actually they are a lot of fun it's just that we look like pee wee Herman want a beeeee's when we ride down the road. I'm sure people think "look a those 2 old farts riding those 1950's bikes. WELL I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY THINK!!!! They are fun and good exercise....... Have a great day.

This is a picture of my Yucca plant in the front yard. The Yucca plant is a very evil plant and if you have ever tried to touch one you understand what I'm talking about. But when they bloom they have the most beautiful flower. Mine is only about half way to full bloom and in the next few days will completely show it's glorious white beauty.

We had a Stake Primary meeting Saturday and I was in charge of decorations, I have been trying to keep as much cluter out of the house as possible (since it's on the market) so I decided to have decorations I could recycle. I used live flowers as my center pieces and today I planted them in pots and put them around my house. Wasnt that a great idea! I am also using my recycle bag that Elizabeth gave me when I was in Utah. Just trying to do my part.

Grizzley bears a usually a rare find but we saw 4 while in Yellowstone. These were right along the road. Unbelievable! The rangers kept driving by with their lights flashing to keep traffic moving, it was really cool.

We spent Easter in Flagstaff Arizona with Denny and family. We went hiking in Sedona (what a beautiful place) saw the Chocolate falls outside of Flagstaff, shot off rockets, tried to fly a kite and enjoyed a wonderful Easter meal. It was a fantastic time. I decided to take some time and catch you up on our travels the last 4 months. This picture was taken in February in Pauls Valley, OK. We flew out for Ashlee's Baptism, it was very special and lots of fun. Dennis, Ashlee (she has a good singing voice) and I sang a song (if the Savior stood beside my) Dennis and Dale gave talks (on baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost) and Amy was to afraid to do anything!!! LOL Love ya Amy. I was a great time. Denny was there wiring Dale and Amy's house.

I just have to say... that was one of the best conferences I have ever heard. Many of the talks touched my heart. Especially Boyd K Packard, talking about motherhood and parenting. So many times I have regretted choices I made when my children were young and thought if I had not been so busy with MY own life or spent more quality time with them, or given more encouragement, or handeled situation's differently, they may have had fewer struggles. Oh well enough of that. But remember everyone ...listen to a wise old woman...keep your eyes open for the little moments, don't be so busy that you miss them. I love the way he said we only have them for less than a forth of our lives, that is such a short period of time, use it wisely.

President Monson's talk was so sweet, there is no doubt in my mind HE IS A PROPHET OF GOD!.

Whats wrong with my life?

I just don't understand? How can my life be so busy and yet so boring, I feel as though I have no extra time in my day, I am on the go from sun up to sun down, yet I have nothing to post on my newly devoleped blog.
